GUIDELINES FOR ROYALTY RIGHT:

*MOST RECENT RATE REVISION- 07-23-08.

GENERAL- Royalty must be paid whenever play is presented...for charity or gain, unless, exception is granted, in writing prior to performance. Amateurs, defined as HIGH SCHOOLS, JUNIOR COLLEGES, CITY, COUNTY or STATE owned community centers are permitted to present each of Playwright William a. Parker's works upon payment of a royalty fee of $60/Sixty Dollars for the first performance and $40/Forty Dollars for each subsequent performance, provided that there are no equity members employed to complete the presentation.

SCRIPTS- All companies presenting the work are required to purchase a minimum of 8 scripts, one for each actor, and, an additional script for the Director. Companies are permitted to make enough copies to satisfy the needs of production staff.  Scripts are sold at the rate of $15.00 each.

NON-AMATEUR DEFINED- Entities representing or performing at any LEVEL, INCLUDING, CITY, COUNTY, STATE COLLEGES, UNIVERSITIES, PRIVATE OR PUBLIC, NON-PROFIT COMMUNITY and REGIONAL THEATRES, EXECUTING THE USE OF EQUITY ACTORS, DIRECTORS OR ANY OTHER DEFINED EQUITY OR UNION STAFF AT ANY TIME DURING A CALENDAR YEAR MUST SEEK SPECIAL PERMISSION TO PERFORM THIS PLAY AND ARE CONSIDERED NON-AMATEUR. ANY PERSON, GROUP OR ENTITY PRESENTING THIS PLAY APART FROM A RECOGNIZED ENTITY AS DEFINED ABOVE WHERE PROFIT IS REALIZED IS CONSIDERED NON-AMATEUR.

NON-AMATEURS- Companies presenting this play in a venue with fewer than 100 seats and giving fewer than 15 performances may be granted rights to present the play at the rate of $60 / $40 by special permission. Non-Amateurs presenting this play in a venue with more than 100 seats may not present at the above noted rate and may only present this play by special arrangement with Parker’s Place.

STAGED READINGS- Permission for readings by professionals and amateurs must be granted by
Parker’s Place. Please write at P.O. Box 580236, Elk Grove CA  95758.

It is unlawful to copy from any script/play or change the content, thereof, except authorized to do so in writing. No person who has been granted permission to give a performance may transfer those performance rights to another person. Also, when this play is produced, the following notice must appear on all programs, printing and advertising for the play: "Produced by special arrangement with Parker’s Place,  A Division of  GOOD STEWARD GAME COMPANY." *Due authorship acknowledgment must be given on all programs, printing and advertising for the play... e.g. by William a. Parker

In all instances, fees must be received thirty days prior to performance. Payments are to be made to William a. Parker/Parker’s Place at P.O. Box 580236, Elk Grove CA  95758.
